FAQ


  1. Ours is a nonsmoking and alcohol-free facility.
  2. Your rate is per person and based on double occupancy (at least 2 people per room). Single rooms are charged an additional fee per night.
  3. Seasonal minimums apply to booking.
  4. We do not host weddings or wedding receptions at this time.
  5. While we can provide gluten-free options for our guests making that dietary choice, we do not have a gluten-free kitchen. We bake bread and desserts fresh every day, and so there is flour in our kitchen. Our guests with extreme celiac or other conditions should alert us to your needs so that we can discuss those fully in advance.
  6. Our kitchen is not available to guests to prepare meals. Food service is a part of your package, and we are happy to discuss a variety of options for your menu. You are allowed to bring no-cook snacks for your stay, or you can easily order them from us when discussing your meal choices!
  7. We are happy to schedule an appointment for a site visit in advance of booking an event. We ask that you call before coming to see us, in case we have a private event on the grounds that would prevent you from seeing all of the facility, and to be sure that a member of our staff is available to escort you and answer your questions about using our beautiful space.   8. We have some great hiking trails on the property! Please observe basic safety: hike in pairs, watch out for poison oak and stinging nettle, and, as we are in mountain lion country, do not hike after dusk or before dawn. Ask your Hospitality contact for a trail guide and recommendations!
  9. Quiet hours in Santa Cruz County are from 10pm-8am. Please be respectful of our neighbors and our peaceful valley home.
  10. Everyone works together to steward the property – please dispose of trash and recycling in the appropriate bins.
  11. We encourage guests to bring your own reusable water bottle for your stay.
  12. Cell phone reception in the Valley in unreliable – if you have service with Verizon, you will likely have a signal – all others will not. There is a landline for guest use in the office, available 24/7. The group should designate someone who can serve as a contact who can receive either phone calls or text messages from other participants during your stay.
  13. We do not recommend walking along Branciforte Dr. – there is no sidewalk or shoulder to do so safely.
  14. Only service animals are allowed on the property. Please inform your contact if service animals will be present.
