Mostly odds. Primarily Jeff.

Just kidding, Jeff. We like you okay.

The last week our dear “CrossFit Jeff”, as we call him, returned to us from Grand Cayman. He had the dreadful task of working a wedding there. Poor guy. He really missed us.

Those feet scream misery.
Those feet scream misery.

We were also down two other members this week as Nelda and Carly bravely counseled Jr. High ladies at Camp Cromberg five hours away. How valiant they are!

After a long week of lifeguarding, dishwashing, facilitating ropes course, and everything in between (check out the Week in Review for more), Antonia, Brooke, and I were pooped! We were lucky Tim and Lisa invited us (and Jeff) over for a fantastic dinner of burgers filled with cheese and bacon heaven and strawberry shortcake with ice cream AND whipped cream. We are spoiled with good food and great company.

Cue the choir of angels *AHHHHHH*

We also dined on other treats as Jeff took us to Marianne’s (I’m still partial to The Penny Ice Creamery personally. I even have a bumper sticker), which was also delicious.

Sweets are a daily necessity for the interns. Otherwise, we get all cranky like Betty White without a Snickers bar.

Soon after our ice cream escapades, Carly and Nelda returned!!! (As well as Nelda’s cool little brother, Colton), and we all watched Garden State at Jeff and Nelda’s.

Yesterday, we began our first true facilities project with our home slice and maintenance/chef extraordinaire Tyler. We cleaned up one of the low ropes courses and knocked out all the boards on the top half. We hope to have safer, new wood put in for the Senior High group this week to use.

This week I am OVERJOYED to be working with Katie and Josh Shipley two of my dearest friends, who are the guest ministers at Senior High Camp. Love love love love them. Pics and blogging will come after the end of the camp!
