This week is Reunion Week, so that means, we have a lot of people here all week. So to help out, one of the Intern jobs is to help out in the dish room. All week, one intern has been assigned to wash dishes from 7am to 2 or 3 in the afternoon. Today, it’s Carly’s turn, because she doesn’t have to teach her class, so it’s the only day she can!

Look at her do those dishes, like an expert!

Carly was trained today by Neil, who graciously allowed us to publish his real first name.

I asked Carly how it was going, and she went, “My hands are funny!”

Then she promptly showed me the back of her hands, instead of the front!

So right here, on the Intern blog, for the very first time, you can see the effects of washing dishes all morning!

Just look at all those pruny wrinkles!

Also, Carly says, “Look at my shirt! It’s all wet!” ha ha! The same thing happened to me yesterday when I was dishwashing. Jacob came in halfway through my shift and said, you know , you can also wear an apron to help avoid getting wet. Then I backed away from the sink, already soaked. Too late! ha ha!

I think there’s more wet shirt than dry shirt in this picture.

And that’s the news from Lake Wobegone, I mean, Happy Valley!
