SAN FRANCISCO BABY.
edit1

Last Saturday/Sunday, Brooke, Antonia and I (Carly is at Buckhorn Reunion down south), journeyed north to experience some of the awesomeness that is San Francisco. With HVCC cinnamon rolls and Starbucks in hand, we left bright and early to begin an adventure of epic proportions!

We began our day with a little mishap, ending up on the wrong Montgomery Street (yes, there are two in San Fran and my GPS doesn’t understand that). However, it turned out to be a beaaaauuutiful one, as we found a Ghirardelli Store and had a butterscotch and hot fudge sundae for brunch. NOM.

The world would be a better place if everyone started their day the Ghirardelli way

We continued to the Walt Disney Family Museum where we snagged a view of the Golden Gate Bridge. We visited the Maurice Sendak exhibit (author of Where the Wild Things Are), which was cool, but slightly melancholy. Then we  spent a long while in the Disney Museum, which had ENDLESS information about Walt Disney. I know all I have and ever will need to know about good ole Walty after visiting that place.

Afterwards, we walked some around Market Street and took the F Train to the pier (after accidentally taking it the wrong way…whoops). It was beautiful, but really cold and windy!

The Happy Valley yacht took us around the bay, no biggie.

After getting lost via Taxi in some random residential area, we found my car and drove over to Chinatown and had some Brandy Ho’s. Needless to say, food was the highlight of our trip. We had dumplings and they were GLORIOUS!

We stayed the night in Berkeley with our friends Josh and Katie at their friend Rick and Marla’s house. We enjoyed several hours of good conversation and then crashed. The next morning Katie and Josh took us into town to Crepevine, which is clearly synonymous with heaven, as they serve the most wonderful crepes I’ve ever tasted. And they were served with ice cream AND whipped cream.

I heard it through the Crepevine....

We have since returned, rather pooped, to lifeguarding and conceptual project work. And dreaming of dumplings….and Crepevine….*sigh*

All in all, a fabulous trip! Peace out home slices!
