That’s right ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, homies and newly converted homies,

it’s time for (drumroll please) WILD NOISE!!!!!!!!

Yesterday, we began our journey into the creative wonder that is this week’s camp and baby of Nelda’s, Wild Noise. We began with a little meet and greet and intro into installation art. After a brief explanation (with snacks) of our first activity, the interns joined in with the camp to get our artistic juices flowing. Everyone made beautiful art in such a small amount of time! It was bomb!

Afterwards, we went on a trail hike. It was amazing how differently we looked at the trails having installation art in mind. There’s so much beauty to be sculpted in the natural world! Especially in a place that’s already so aesthetically pleasing.

In the evening, we had probably the best meal I’ve had all summer. Jakob, Cory, Amanda, and Alyssa prepared delicious curry, Tilapia, rice, Garbanzo beans(or chickpeas? I can never remember which are which) salad, and citrus mousse dessert (Thanks Guys!!!). I’m still dreaming of it…..sigh…

We ate family style; It was lovely to eat together and enjoy everyone’s company, staff included.

After a few yard game excursions, we joined in on the jam session. AH-MAZING. We began with Wagon Wheel by Old Crow Medicine Show (a personal favorite of mine) and were able to hear and participate in some really marvelous music by professional musicians. Holla!

Overall, a FANTASTIC way to start the week! I can’t wait to see what other excitement there is to come!
