Oh, yes, it’s that time of year–the Annual Linen Closet Digital Tour and Makeover!!!

…That’s a thing, right?

Tim asked me to check out the Linen Closet and “bring some order to it.” Before, while it was vaguely organized, it didn’t necessarily make sense, and the labels were difficult to read, and there weren’t enough of them!

Linen Closet Before
They didn’t have a consistent look, and the clip art did not help readability.

So I got to work!

I put all of the similar beddings next to each other if there was room for overflow. And I moved all of the towels to the same closet. (Except for a bin of the hand towels—there were so many we needed an overflow area.)

Doesn’t that look fantastic?!?!

Karen walked past when I was putting on the final labels, and joked that she wanted to take me home to set me loose in her closet!

Look a glamour shot of the labels!

I labeled everything very thoroughly. I even made separate labels for the two patterns of twin bed sheets, because one is 100% polyester and the other (seen above) is a polyester/cotton blend.

I also rearranged these drawers a bit. And, of course, labeled them!

And we have a multitude of these beauties! (Yes, I mean the bath towels.)Bath Towels

There is also a second linen closet. I designated that one the “specialty” linen closet for special needs, such as a) bigger beds, b) different sleeping habits, or c) warmth. Hence, the full set of sheets, heavier pillows, and blankets in this closet. Also, I put extra hand towels in there because the other one ran out of room.Second Closet Full

PILLOWS!At one point, Tim and I noticed that some of the pillows are heavier–they’re made of a thicker foam that makes the pillows weigh a bit more and act almost like memory foam. So I sorted those out and put them in the second closet to avoid them getting mixed up with the regular pillows. Betcha didn’t even know we had cool pillows like that!

Blankets
Look! LOTS of blankets!

Well that was fun! That’s all for now, folks! Until next time!
