Maya Neville-Seguro Summer intern

Hello friends my name is Maya; I am (almost) 20 years old, and I am from Jackson, California. I am attending Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo and am currently majoring in Environmental Engineering, but I am finishing the process of changing my major to Political Science with a minor in Environmental Studies (a greater shift in coursework could not be made). I was brought to Happy Valley and beautiful Santa Cruz because I was a camper here, and I wanted to give back to the community and grounds that has been an integral force in shaping the person I have become. I love ice cream, Harry Potter, creative uses of capitalization, redwoods, and camping. I am beyond ecstatic to be spending the summer working at Happy Valley and getting to know the wonderful group of dorks who are here with me.

Bryan Tidwell Yearlong Intern

Hello, my name is Bryan Tidwell, I am from Casper, Wyoming and have lived there my whole life other than my time spent at Graceland University. I am a graduate from Graceland, and received my degree in Graphic Design. I will be the yearlong intern in the search and exploration of life and myself in general! I can’t wait to see what this summer and year has in store for me.

Brickell Dotson Summer Intern

Hey! I'm Brickell Dotson. I will be a senior Education Major at Graceland University. I am a cheerleader at GU and also in choir. Last year I was the house president of Khiyah. I grew up in Arizona, where I attended Whispering Pines camp. For the past years I have been a worker in the forests of Prescott. The opportunity to work at a new campground and enjoy the beautiful redwoods has been a blessing.

Karli Conrad-Davis Yearlong Intern

A year I have been a resident of Happy Valley Conference Center, gardening, mopping, and basking in the sun all the while. You've probably seen me around or read my weekly blog. I'm here for a short while longer before I make the move to Boulder, Colorado to pursue my Master's in Wilderness Therapy at Naropa University. It's been a deeply impactful year, one that has transformed many parts of me and my perspectives. I look forward to my journey with this year's summer interns before fellow Bryan takes over my glorious room.

Stanley Thomas Summer Intern

My name is Stanley Thomas and I will be a senior at Graceland University for the fall of 2016. I will graduate in the spring of 2017 with a Bachelors in Psychology and Philosophy. I took this internship because it was an opportunity to do something I have never done before. I have never seen/attended a campground and I heard great things about Happy Valley. I know this internship equips you with certain skills and methods to better the environment and better yourself. However, the main reason why I took this internship is because I get to serve others and teach others. I hope this internship will help me in my future of becoming a counselor and also help me in my career of ministry.

Mikayla Austin Summer Intern

Hey there! I'm Mikayla Austin. I am from Gilbert, Arizona. I'm a current junior at Graceland University and majoring in English with a Biology minor. My plans after graduation? Still a work in progress, but I hope to attend nursing school or grad school for writing. At Graceland, I'm involved with my hall Aponivi, work in the game room, a student ambassador, photographer, and Vice President of the communications club! I grew up attending Whispering Pines in Prescott, AZ. And have loved the wonderful experiences camp has brought to me. I'm thrilled to be at Happy Valley this summer to work with other interns, try new experiences, and to create memories with friends!
