Hiya HVCC Intern Blog Enthusiasts!
This last weekend was an exciting one. We began with an adventure day with APEX Adventures (blog post/epic video montage to come). While the other gals went on a shopping adventure with Lisa and Jeff, I flew to Oklahoma for my friends Kinsey and Tyler’s wedding at the COC Saints Grove campground! I was kindly picked up by Kinsey’s dad Mike and rode there with my friend Ryan Pitt.
It was refreshing to see so many of my Graceland University pals there, as well as two people whom I love so dearly express their beautiful love for each other and unite for life in awesomeness.
It was a very musical wedding! I sang with my friend Thomas 3 times, once with my friends Morgan and Thomas, and with an A Cappella group made up on GU students. Additionally, Kinsey and Tyler serenaded each other and the congregation sang Home by Phillip Phillips as they walked out!
At the reception we boogied like there’s no tomorrow and ate Boba Fett red velvet cake (that’s a real thing).
I was also very lucky to spend part of the wee morning hours of my 21st birthday with my friends Amy, Thomas, Rhen, Patrick, and Lindsay at Buffalo Wild Wings. We enjoyed wings and were merry! Huzzah!
I talked with my pals Amy and Emily Rose ’til 2:30 in the AM. At 4:30 (still AM) I left with my friend Alex Cash, who so generously drove me to the OKC airport (he rocks) to head home. Last night we celebrated my birthday at Chocolate. It was a SPECTACULAR birthday weekend and I got to spend it with lots of my favorite people. I’m very blessed.
Congrats to the newlyweds Tyler and Kinsey Horringa! YAAAY!
